World

As people are owning the concept of ‘alleviating suffering in the world around us’ we see young adults going to places across the globe to live out their desire to do this. This page illustrates who they are, what they are doing and acts as a reminder for us to keep them in prayer!

Will you be next?

Brazil

We are a team of people who believe in helping relieve suffering around the world. This is a step we are taking in hopes to make a dent in relieving hurt and poverty.  We will be travelling to the Home of the Good Shepherd orphange where  we will be doing projects to help bless and sustain this ministry.

Shiloh Youth Ranch
Shiloh is a summer camp program for at-risk children and youth. Most of the students that attend Shiloh don’t know what love is; at Shiloh they experience the life-changing truth of a loving God. We are excited to take part in being used of God to show the love of Christ to these students.

Havana Cuba
We are heading to Havana Cuba to work with the street kids and famillies. We are doing an after school program, evening services as well as a family carnival day on the Saturday. We will be working along side two other teams from Toronto who are going to be doing construction work and going into the rural villages outside of Havana. We also have a huge care package project that we are giving to the pastors and their wives there and also bringing extra items has the cost for everyday necessities is quite high for the locals.

Belize, Honduras, and Africa
I’m doing a program through YWAM (Youth With A Mission) for nine months called Destination Paradise. There are three phases: the first phase is the lecture phase, the second phase: is outreach and the last phase in internship where we put our skills to good use! It’s been an amazing trip so far and it’s been building my faith in ways I didn’t know were possible! The main objective of this trip is to know God and make him known!

June 11, 2010-June 2011
I will be leaving to go serve in a restricted access nation, to show Christ’s love in whatever way I can or the circumstances will allow. My goal is to be that person that believes that there is something way bigger out there, and to help students dream bigger than they thought was even possible. I do not know where exactly I will be teaching or what exactly I will be doing but I know this, that I am called here to do what ever is put in front of me. Please pray that I will find work teaching or whatever else may come up, that I can just embody love and pour that out where ever I can, and for a covering of safety so not only will I be “invisible” to the authorities but also that I never back down from what I came to do, to share a gift that changed my life and will change the world if we just keep loving the way Christ did.
